How to keep your baby sleeping at night, by the numbers

I’m going to make a promise to you: I’m not going to talk about bed bugs.

I’m not.

You should be too.

I can’t get over the fact that my 3-month-old daughter, Kelli, slept through my first night of her new family’s first-ever baby shower.

She slept in a crib with her siblings.

We’ve had the babies since the first one was born, and every night I’ve wanted to sleep with Kelli in the same crib.

I thought we were all safe, because I knew that when she was born my husband and I had locked the crib together and kept the windows closed.

But I didn’t think she would sleep with the babies in the room with the door closed.

I thought she would be fine.

She was fine.

But I had to let Kelli go.

I was scared that I’d never sleep with a baby again, that she’d be a little scared, and I would never get to sleep in the bed with her.

That was the scary part.

And that’s the part I couldn’t get past.

I had no idea what to do.

I felt like a hypocrite, that I was going to sleep alone with the baby.

I felt like I was doing this to myself.

But the truth is, my husband wasn’t doing anything wrong.

He wasn’t sleeping in the crib with the other babies.

He was sleeping in his room.

The night after Kelli was born I went into the bedroom and was like, You know what?

I just want to be alone with this baby.

I don’t want to leave her in the darkness.

I want to sleep.

And if I’m a selfish parent, I want that baby to sleep at night.

That’s when I decided to give Kelli some bed bugs to help keep her company.

I called her mom and asked her to come down to the nursery and pick up some of the bugs.

She was like: You know, I know what it’s like to have babies, but what about me?

I was thinking: I don’t really want to go out in the night, and if I do, I’ll just get into bed with the lights off and have the babies watch me do it.

And she was like…

Oh, OK.

She’s a little more comfortable now, and we’re not sleeping in a big room.

I can sleep in a little one, and she can sleep with one of the babies.

It’s like I’m doing this because it’s really important to me, but it’s also because I’m the mom.

If I go out and have a baby in the morning, that’s not my baby, it’s the babies who are sleeping in there.

And then I found out that the bugs have a pretty unique way of spreading.

I was thinking that the best way to get rid of them is to just put them on my arm and just put it in the corner, but they spread so fast.

And they don’t even stick to clothes.

So I decided I had one of these babies in my arms.
