The New Orleans Pelicans have waived guard Kyle Lowry
The New York Knicks announced today that they have waived the team’s second-round pick in 2017 from New Orleans to make room for the Pelicans second-rounder in the 2018 draft.
The Knicks are making their second pick in the first round since the team traded up to get Carmelo Anthony, and the pick comes after the team acquired Kyle Lowry from Denver in a trade that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Denver.
The Pelicans have also waived forward Justin Anderson, who was acquired from Denver last month.
They have no picks in 2018 and have two first-round picks in 2019.
